A Jew, an Arab, and a White Guy Walk into a Church (LOCATION CHANGE!)

  • St. Matthias 111 East Main Street Waukesha, WI, 53186 United States (map)

Together is Better. It is a statement that has meant so much to many who are part of CollectiveMKE. As nice as the phrase sounds, sometimes its seems like living together peacefully on this planet is something we can only dream about. But what if there was a way forward with more love and less hate, more honest conversation and less angry diatribe.

This is the very hope we have in hosting this event created by the *Isaac-Ishmael Initiative.  Jeff, Brian + Ashraf use humorous story-telling and honest reflection on their own experience as a Jew, a Arab, and a White guy, to create a safe environment where we can all talk about how we can take a step forward toward the world a greater peace we all want to live in.

What to Expect: a casual interactive environment hosted at Fixture - a cool bar that will be serving up their own lineup of craft beers. Their will be a presentation and interaction. Some of us are going out afterwords to grab a bite and debrief the experience.

Event Description: All of us want peace … and not many of us know how to move toward it. We live in a world of diversity where different religions, cultures and races build dividing walls of hostility. What would it be like if those walls of hostility started to come down and people of various faiths - Judaism, Islam, and Christianity - sought peace together? This evening with “A Jew, and Arab, and a White Guy” introduces you to three very different people and their pathway to peace together. We invite you to join a discussion about how and why we chose this path and how you can as well.
